Allegedly this is a seal with Hebrew markings. It is controversially identified as possibly having belonged to the historical Jezebel, queen of Israel. The seal depicts a female sphinx using Egyptian and Phoenician imagery. (Someone sent me this photo. I don't know its origin.) |
