Peaceful Home

There are seven bible verses which are often used for blessing a home:
Through wisdom is an house builded; and by understanding it is established: And by knowledge shall the chambers be filled with all precious and pleasant riches.
Proverbs 24:3-4

Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attent unto the prayer that is made in this place. For now have I chosen and sanctified this house, that my name may be there for ever: and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually.
2 Chronicles 7:15-16

I have surely built thee an house to dwell in, a settled place for thee to abide in for ever.
1 Kings 8:13

And thus shall ye say to him that liveth in prosperity, Peace be both to thee, and peace be to thine house, and peace be unto all that thou hast.
1 Samuel 25:6

And into whatsoever house ye enter, first say, Peace be to this house.
Luke 10:5

The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
Numbers 6:24-26

Therefore now let it please thee to bless the house of thy servant, that it may continue for ever before thee: for thou, O Lord GOD, hast spoken it: and with thy blessing let the house of thy servant be blessed for ever.
2 Samuel 7:29

A prayer, such as the following, may be added:

Adonai, we bow before thee, our Lord, our God. Bless our home today, Oh loving Father, give our family peace, companionship, industry, joy, and contentment in this dwelling space. Bless us with prosperity, success, and favour, wherever we may go. Amen. Selah!
The holy name to keep in your mind according to verse 2 Samuel 7:29 is Adonai Jehovah, and according to verse Numbers 6:24-26 is Jehovah.

Psalm 61 may also be  recited, especially when moving into a new home:

Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer. From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I. For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy. I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings. Selah. For thou, O God, hast heard my vows: thou hast given me the heritage of those that fear thy name. Thou wilt prolong the king's life: and his years as many generations. He shall abide before God for ever: O prepare mercy and truth, which may preserve him. So will I sing praise unto thy name for ever, that I may daily perform my vows.
Psalm 61

The family member who is reciting the verses and prayer may also light a candle either blue or white and set that light in a central spot, which has a sturdy base and is fire safe. The light must be set and should not be carried around the home while the family member is speaking for safety reasons. Other prayers, songs and blessings, could be added by other family members.
