Carey Wynn Hall-Warner, a longtime friend of the Neo-Pagan community in Maryland and Virginia, crossed the bridge into the Summerland on May 12, 2019 after suffering from pneumonia-related complications at the age of 61.
Many of us remember Carey as a cheerful volunteer and leader for several years at Free Spirit Gathering. During the years she attended gathering, Carey provided the Never-Empty Coffeepot and managed a 12-step program for FSG participants. After Carey moved from the area in 2003, she no longer attended FSG. Myth and Thoron remember inquiries in 2003 from FSG participants about the absence of the coffee pot and the cheeful lady who maintained it--some of them mistakenly thought the coffeepot was a service provided by the camp.
