Photo Thursday night July 8, 2010 of a Hecate altar at the CPC Summer Gathering, "A Magickal Congress: PATHS JOINING TOGETHER." At this Gathering, there were activities and rituals focusing on "paths joining together" and "crossroads."
Hecate was honored at the crossroads by the ancient Romans. People would leave offerings of garlic at her shrines.
This altar has the Sacred Source three-fold image of Hecate and garlic head, along with an owl incense burner (air), a tea light lavender candle (fire), and a cup of sparkling red grape juice (water).
