Key of Solomon: Table of the Archangels, Angels, Metals, Days of
the Week, and Colours attributed to each Planet

This information was taken directly from the Table of the Archangels, Angels, Metals, Days of the Week, and Colours attributed to each Planet. The color list of planetary magic attached to days of the week and Roman deities was published by S. L. MacGregor Mathers in 1889, in his version of the magical grimore, The Key of Solomon The King. Mathers' version has become a primary source for the Western esoteric/magical/occult traditions.

Please note the 19th century British spelling of "colour" is not used in error here. I decided to purposely keep the spelling, because I am taking the wording directly from Mathers' The Key of Solomon .

Please note this table below is organized by the ancient "Chaldean Order" of planets: Saturn, Jupiter, Mars, Sun, Venus, Mercury, and Moon. The Chaldean Order was a geocentric (Earth-centered) system and represented a standard cosmology which persisted through the Rennaisance. Please also note that use of the term "planets" in reference to the "sun" and "moon" has not been used in error here, because I am taking the terms as used directly from Mathers' The Key of Solomon .

Please see Planets, Magic, and History article on The Goddess Aradia and Other Subjects website for more explanation about the "Chaldean Order." For quick reference in the above list, I rearranged the information in the familar order of the weekdays. Below is the actual table in Mathers' The Key of Solomon :
